About the Founder

Bob Marek, Host

Bob Marek is the founder and host of The Right Roads podcast.

After decades of "grinding it out" in the world of business, he created this podcast to provide commentary on a wide variety of "evergreen" topics of concern and interest to fellow Christian conservatives.

Bob has an "underdog" blue collar mentality polished with a classical education. He grew up in an ethnic neighborhood in an Upper Midwest industrial city, the son of a farm girl and an immigrant WWII slave laborer turned factory worker.

After earning a degree in Finance and an MBA while working a union job, Bob had a long business career working for two Fortune 500 companies plus two foreign energy giants and a variety of small or startup companies — all in the energy utility, efficiency, or infrastructure industries.

Bob has an unusually broad view of Christianity from Catholic, Protestant, and interdenominational perspectives. He has been an active church member throughout his life in a wide variety of roles and attends a great bible study weekly.

He's also been married for decades, with 2 daughters and son-in-laws and 4 grandchildren living nearby. He lives on a lake and likes to walk in the woods, paddleboard, swim, golf, and bicycle.

Humble and inquisitive, Bob will guide you down The Right Roads as he covers great topics from a unique perspective.
